Spring Sewing Program Success!
We wrapped up our Spring Sewing Program, offered in partnership with Portland Parks & Recreation’s Multnomah Arts Center (MAC). We had 24 participants, including 12 youth and 12 elders, who came together to learn sewing skills and connect with one another.
One of the most meaningful moments came during the first week when one of the elders said, “I learned more here than anywhere else.” Hearing words like this reminded us how valuable these classes are for our community.
We are thankful to Portland Parks & Recreation’s Multnomah Arts Center for partnering with us to make this program possible. Because of the positive response, we plan to continue offering sewing classes every term. Our Summer Sewing Program will be starting soon, and we look forward to welcoming both new and returning participants.
